Southern Pecan Pie Recipe - Cooking Index
4 teaspoons | 20ml | Eggs (large) |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Flour |
3/4 cup | 148g / 5.2oz | Sugar |
1/4 cup | 82g / 2.9oz | Dark Karo corn syrup |
1 cup | 328g / 11oz | Light Karo corn syrup |
1 | Salt | |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Vanilla |
1 1/2 cups | 355ml | Pecans |
1 | Pie crust - frozen, (9-inch), deep dish |
Thaw pie crust and pinch edges of crust. (Makes it look homemade.) Beat eggs. Add flour, sugar, corn syrups, salt and vanilla. Mix well. Pour into 9-inch deep dish pie shell. Bake at 350F for 10 minutes, and 300F for 45 to 50 minutes. Cover edges with thin strips of foil during first 30 minutes of baking. Allow pie to cool for 1 hour before serving.
