Sour Cream Apple Pie Recipe - Cooking Index
5 cups | 1185ml | Tart apples (large) |
1 | Pastry-lined 9" pie pan | |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Lemon juice |
3/4 cup | 177ml | -- ¥ |
1 | And h granulated sugar | |
1/3 cup | 20g / 0.7oz | Flour |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Salt |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Cinnamon |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Nutmeg |
1/4 cup | 49g / 1.7oz | Butter or margarine |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Dairy sour cream |
Peel and cut apples into thick slices.
Arrange slices in overlapping rows in pastry-lined pie pan; sprinkle with lemon juice.
Mix sugar, flour, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg; cut in butter until crumbly; spoon over apples.
Spread sour cream over top.
Bake in 350F oven 50 to 55 minutes until apples are tender.
