Pie Crust/Low-Fat Recipe - Cooking Index
1 cup | 62g / 2.2oz | Sifted all purpose flour |
3/4 teaspoon | 3.8ml | Salt - (optional) |
1/3 cup | 109g / 3.8oz | Light corn syrup - (karo) |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Skim milk |
Preheat oven to 475.
Mix flour and salt in bowl.
Combine syrup and milk and add all at once to flour mixture. Stir with a fork until thoroughly mixed. Shape mixture into a ball and place in between 2 squares of was paper lightly dusted with flour. Roll pastry into a circle large enough to fit a 9 inch pan.
Spray pan with Baker's joy or Pam and arrange pastry in pan. Cut off edges and press w/fork. Prick bottom all over with a fork.
Bake about 10 minutes or until golden brown. Cool before filling.
