Pie Crust - 2 Recipe - Cooking Index
4 cups | 250g / 8.8oz | Flour |
1 3/4 cups | 346g / 12oz | Shortening |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Sugar |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Salt |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Vinegar |
1 | Egg | |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Water |
Mix the flour, shortening, sugar and salt with a fork.
In a small bowl mix the vinegar, egg and water. Add to the flour mixture with a fork until moistened.
Mold into a ball and chill.
Allow to chill for at least 15 minutes before using and keep remaining in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
