Perfect Chocolate Pecan Pie Recipe - Cooking Index
1 cup | 328g / 11oz | Light corn syrup |
1/2 cup | 99g / 3.5oz | Sugar |
1/4 cup | 49g / 1.7oz | Margarine or butter - melted |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Vanilla |
3 | Eggs | |
1 cup | 110g / 3.9oz | Semisweet chocolate chips |
1 1/2 cups | 219g / 7.7oz | Pecan halves |
1 | Deep dish pie crust |
1. Heat oven to 350F. Place cookie sheet in oven to preheat. (From now on, I will also put a sheet of aluminum foil or wax paper on this cookie sheet. If it boils over, it is the pits to scrub off a pan!)
2. In large bowl, combine corn syrup, sugar, margarine, vanilla and eggs; beat well. Place chocolate chips and pecans in bottom of pie crust. Pour syrup mixture over pecans.
3. Place pie on heated cookie sheet. Bake at 350F for 55 - 65 minutes or until deep golden brown and filling is set. Cool completely. Store in refrigerator. 10 servings
