Pecan Pie Recipe - Cooking Index
3 | Eggs - beaten | |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Vanilla extract |
1 cup | 328g / 11oz | Corn syrup - (dark) |
1 1/2 cups | 355ml | Pecans |
1 cup | 198g / 7oz | Sugar |
1 | Pastry shell - unbaked | |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Butter |
Preheat oven to 375F Blend eggs, corn syrup, sugar, butter and vanilla together. Add pecans.
Bake at 375F for 10 minutes, then lower the temperature to 350F and bake for another 45 minutes or so (until a knife inserted halfway between the edge and the center comes out clean. Remove and let cool.
* The traditional recipe for pecan pie -- If you use pecan halves it will look nicer than pecan pieces, but be more difficult to cut.
