Dough | ||
2 cups | 220g / 7.8oz | Biscuit mix |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Milk |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Sugar |
Filling | ||
3 cups | 711ml | Peaches; peeled - sliced |
2/3 cup | 131g / 4.6oz | Sugar |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Flour |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Cinnamon - divided |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Nutmeg |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Butter |
Preheat oven to 425F.
Mix filling ingredients in pot; place on medium heat and allow to boil. Put hot fruit in bottom of buttered casserole dish. Sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg. Dot with 1 Tbsp butter.
Mix dough ingredients in separate bowl; form into boll. Roll out dough. cover filling with rolled dough. Dot dough with butter and sprinkle with 1/2 tsp cinnamon.
Bake 30 minutes at 425F.
Apples, pears and plums may also be used with this recipe.
