Orangesicle Pie Recipe - Cooking Index

Milk - (not evaporated milk)* | ||
4 | Egg yolks | |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Orange juice |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Grated orange rind |
1 | Packaged graham cracker | |
Crust - (store bought) | ||
1 | Cream cheese - softened | |
1/3 cup | 65g / 2.3oz | Confectioners sugar |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Sour cream |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Vanilla extract |

Preheat oven to 325 In large bowl, combine sweetened condensed milk, egg yolks, orange juice and rind; mix well. Pour into crust (Mixture will be thin) Bake 35 minutes or until knife inserted near center comes out clean.
Meanwhile, in small mixer bowl, combine remaining ingredients; beat until smooth and well blended. When pie tests "done", remove briefly and spread topping mixture on pie, then bake 10 more minutes. Cool.
Chill thoroughly, garnish as desired.
Refrigerate leftovers.
Great summer pie.
