Miz Clemmer's Very Different Pecan Pie Recipe - Cooking Index

2 cups | 396g / 13oz | Sugar |
2 cups | 474ml | Sour cream |
1/2 cup | 31g / 1.1oz | Flour |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Lemon extract |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Salt |
4 | Egg whites | |
2 cups | 320g / 11oz | Brown sugar |
2 cups | 125g / 4.4oz | Pecan meats - broken |
Bake 2 pie shells until half done, about 5-8 minutes.
In double boiler, mix 4 egg yolks, 2 c sugar and 2 c sour cream.
Stir in 1/2 c flour, 1/2 t lemon extract and 1/4 t salt.
Cook until thickened, about 45 minutes.
Spoon into pie shells.
In a bowl, beat 4 egg whites and 2 c brown sugar. Stir in 2 c broken pecan meats.
Spread over pies and bake at 325F for 15 minutes, or until brown.
