Recipe Ingredients

2 lbs 908g / 32ozHamburger
2 teaspoons 10mlSalt
3/4 lb 340g / 11ozSuet
4 lbs 1816g / 64ozApples
1 teaspoon 5mlCinnamon, nutmeg, cloves
1/4 cup 59mlVinegar
2 1/2 cups 495g / 17ozSugar
3 1/2 cups 560g / 19ozRaisins
2   Seeded raisins

Recipe Instructions

Put the meat, salt and water to cover in a large pot. Simmer until tender.

Add the diced apple, suet and spices, vinegar, sugar and raisins and cook until the suet is dissolved and raisins and apples tender.

If more water is needed add it. Stir often to keep fruit from sticking.
