Meringue Tart (Pinch Pie) Recipe - Cooking Index
3 | Egg whites | |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Baking powder |
1/8 teaspoon | 0.6ml | Salt |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Vanilla |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Vinegar |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Water |
1 cup | 198g / 7oz | Sugar |
Combine all ingredients in bowl of mixer except sugar.
Beat at high speed until stiff, then add the sugar 1 tblsp. at a time.
Shape on greased cookie sheet like nests and bake in 250F oven for one hour or longer.
Serve filled with ice cream and fruit or topping of your choice.
