Maple Sugar Pumpkin Pie Recipe - Cooking Index
16 oz | 454g | Pumpkin - canned, solid pack |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Flour |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Ground cinnamon |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Ground nutmeg |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Ground ginger |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Butter or margarine - softened |
1 cup | 198g / 7oz | Sugar |
1 cup | 237ml | Milk |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Maple syrup |
2 | Eggs | |
1 | Pie shell - unbaked | |
Whipped cream - optional |
In a mixing bowl combine pumpkin, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, butter, sugar, milk, syrup and eggs; mix well. Pour into the pie shell.
Bake at 425F for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350F and continue baking for about 45 minutes or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean.
Cool to room temperature. Refrigerate.
Garnish with whipped cream if desired.
