Lula's Pennsylvania Dutch Sour Cream Apple Pie Recipe - Cooking Index

1 1/4 cups | 296ml | Sour cream |
1 cup | 198g / 7oz | Sugar |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Flour |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Salt |
1 1/4 teaspoons | 6.3ml | Vanilla |
4 cups | 948ml | Thin sliced tart apples |
1 | Egg - beaten | |
Crumbs | ||
1/4 cup | 49g / 1.7oz | Cold butter |
1/3 cup | 20g / 0.7oz | Flour |
1/3 cup | 53g / 1.9oz | Brown sugar |
Blend crumb ingredients together and set aside.
Combine sour cream, sugar, flour, salt and vanilla. Add apples and beaten egg.
Bake in shell for 25 minutes in a 400F oven.
Remove from oven, add crumbs. Return to oven for 20 minutes.
Cool and refrigerate. Serve when cold.
