Frankie's Chocolate Pie

Recipe Ingredients

2 cups 474mlMilk
1/4 teaspoon 1.3mlSalt
4 tablespoons 60mlCocoa - sifted
3/4   Margarine or butter
3   Eggs - divided
3/4 cup 148g / 5.2ozSugar
1/2 teaspoon 2.5mlVanilla
1/4 cup 15g / 0.5ozFlour - sifted
  Meringue
3   Egg whites
6 tablespoons 90mlSugar
1/2 teaspoon 2.5mlVanilla

Recipe Instructions

Combine all ingredients except egg whites. Cook over low heat stirring frequently until thick. Pour into cooked pie shell and top with meringue.

Meringue:

Beat egg whites until they start to peak. Add sugar gradually while beating until all is used. Add vanilla. Spread over pie and bake in 350F oven until lightly browned.
