Dakota Prairie Pumpkin Pie Recipe - Cooking Index
| 4 cups | 948ml | Pumpkin puree | 
| 4 cups | 792g / 27oz | Sugar | 
| 1 teaspoon | 5ml | Salt | 
| 2 teaspoons | 10ml | Cinnamon | 
| 1 teaspoon | 5ml | Nutmeg | 
| 6 | Eggs - lightly beaten | |
| 4 cups | 948ml | Milk | 
| 1 cup | 237ml | Light cream | 
| 1 tablespoon | 15ml | Vanilla | 
| Pastry for 3 9-inch pie - shells | ||
| Whipped cream and chopped nuts - for garnish | 
Combine pumpkin, sugar, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. Blend in eggs, milk, cream and vanilla.
Pour into pie shells and bake at 400F for 50 minutes, or until firm.
Cool on a rack.
Garnish with whipped cream and chopped walnuts.
