1 cup | 198g / 7oz | Sugar |
3/4 cup | 246g / 8.7oz | Light corn syrup |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Honey |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Vanilla |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Almond extract |
1/8 teaspoon | 0.6ml | Salt |
1 cup | 93g / 3.3oz | Chopped almonds - toasted |
1 | Unbaked nine inch pastry shell | |
Lightly sweetened whip cream - optional |
In a saucepan melt butter lover Low heat until golden brown. Cool.
In a mixing bowl, beat eggs. Add sugar, corn syrup, honey, extracts, salt and melted butter. Stir in almonds. Pour into 9" unbaked pastry shell.
Bake at 425F. for 10 minutes.
Reduce heat to 325F.
Bake for 35-40 minutes longer or until a knife inserted near center comes out clean. Cool. Garnish with whipped cream, if desired.
