Crunchy Apple Pie Recipe - Cooking Index
| 2 cups | 292g / 10oz | Chopped cooking apples | 
| 1/2 cup | 80g / 2.8oz | Firmly packed brown sugar | 
| 1/2 cup | 99g / 3.5oz | Granulated sugar | 
| 1/2 cup | 31g / 1.1oz | All-purpose flour | 
| 1 | Egg yolk - beaten | |
| 1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Vanilla extract | 
| 1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Freshly squeezed lemon juice | 
| 1/2 cup | 73g / 2.6oz | Chopped pecans | 
| 1 | Egg white beaten until foamy | |
| 1 | Unbaked pie shell | 
Put chopped apples in a large bowl.
Add sugar, flour, egg yolk, vanilla, lemon juice and pecans; mix well.
Add egg white. Stir well and pour mixture into unbaked pie shell.
Bake at 350F for 30-45 minutes or until apples are tender and brown.
Yield: one 9-inch pie.
