Crazy Crust Apple Pie (Makes Its Own Crust) Recipe - Cooking Index
| 1 cup | 62g / 2.2oz | Flour | 
| 2 tablespoons | 30ml | Sugar | 
| 1 teaspoon | 5ml | Baking powder | 
| 1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Salt | 
| 3/4 cup | 177ml | ;water - cold | 
| 2/3 cup | 131g / 4.6oz | Vegetable shortening | 
| 1 | Egg | |
| 1 | Apple pie filling-1 lb 5 oz | |
| 1 tablespoon | 15ml | Lemon juice | 
| 1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Apple pie spice or cinnamon | 
In small bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, water, shortening and egg.
Blend well at lowest speed; beat 2 minutes at medium speed. Spread batter in 9 or 10" deep dish pie pan.
Carefully spoon filling into center of batter. DO NOT STIR.
Bake at 425F for 40-45 minutes until crust is golden brown.
