Cheddar Apple Cobbler Recipe - Cooking Index

1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Cinnamon - ground |
1/4 cup | 15g / 0.5oz | Unbleached flour |
6 cups | 1422ml | Apple slices - * |
Topping | ||
1 cup | 62g / 2.2oz | Unbleached flour |
6 oz | 170g | Cheddar medium - shredded |
1/4 cup | 49g / 1.7oz | Sugar |
1/3 cup | 65g / 2.3oz | Butter - melted |
1 1/2 teaspoons | 7.5ml | Baking powder |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Milk |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Salt |
* Use cooking apples such as Granny Smith's that have been cored,
Combine the sugar, flour, and cinnamon, then toss the mixture with the apple slices.
Pour into a 9-inch square baking pan. Combine the dry ingredients, of the topping, with the cheddar cheese, mixing well.
Add the butter and milk, mixing until well blended with the flour mixture.
Spoon the dough over the fruit mixture and bake at 400F. for 30 minutes.
