Banana Cream Pie Ala Karen Recipe - Cooking Index
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Flour |
1/2 cup | 99g / 3.5oz | Sugar |
1 cup | 237ml | Milk |
2 | Egg yolks - beaten | |
1 | Pie shell - (8 to 9) | |
1 cup | 237ml | Cream |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Cornstarch |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Salt |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Vanilla |
4 | Sliced bananas |
Mix dry ingredients in saucepan. Stir milk into cream. Stir in egg yolks. Add to dry ingredients. Cook until thick; add vanilla. Cool. Pour into pie shell. Add bananas.
Coconut may be substituted for bananas. Add 1/4 cup of coconut to filling. Sprinkle 1/2 c coconut on top.
