Apple Ricotta Pie Recipe - Cooking Index
3/4 cup | 30g / 1.1oz | Grape-nuts cereal |
1 1/2 cups | 355ml | Ricotta |
2 cups | 474ml | Apples - peeled, cored, and (large) sliced thin |
1/3 cup | 65g / 2.3oz | Sugar |
1 | Egg white | |
1 | Egg - lightly beaten | |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Lemon rind - grated |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Lemon juice |
1 cup | 237ml | Yogurt - plain |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Cinnamon |
Preheat the oven to 350F. Sprinkle the cereal on the bottom of a greased 8" Springform cake pan. Arrange the apple slices over the cereal.
Sprinkle the lemon rind, lemon juice and cinnamon over. Combine the ricotta, sugar, egg white and whole egg and yogurt in a medium bowl.
Mix with a spoon until smooth. Pour evenly over the apples. Bake for 45 minutes. Allow to cool. Use a knife around the inner circumference of the pan before removing the side.
