Apple Cobbler (Using Biscuit Mix) Recipe - Cooking Index
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Cornstarch |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Sugar |
1/8 teaspoon | 0.6ml | Ground cinnamon |
3/4 cup | 177ml | Water |
2 cups | 474ml | Apples - tart, pared, sliced (medium) |
3/4 cup | 82g / 2.9oz | Biscuit mix - (see recipe) |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Process American cheese - shredded |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Water |
Pre-heat oven TO 400F. (hot) Mix cornstarch, sugar, and cinnamon in saucepan. Add 3/4 cup water and mix well. Add apples. Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, until liquid thickens and apples just begin to soften--about 6 minutes.
Pour into 1-quart casserole. Stir biscuit mix and cheese together. Add 3 tablespoons water and mix well. Spread on top of apple mixture. Bake until top is lightly browned--about 30 minutes.
