Abigail Van Buren's Pecan Pie Recipe - Cooking Index
1 cup | 328g / 11oz | White corn syrup |
1 cup | 198g / 7oz | Brown sugar |
1/3 teaspoon | 1.7ml | Salt |
1/3 cup | 78ml | Butter or margarine - melted |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Vanilla |
3 | Eggs - slightly beaten | |
1 | Pie shell | |
1 cup | 237ml | Whole pecans - shelled |
Combine 1 c. white corn syrup, 1 c. brown sugar, 1/3 t. salt, 1/3 c. butter or margarine (melted), and 1 t. vanilla. Mix well. Add 3 slightly beaten eggs. Pour into unbaked 9-in. pie shell.
Sprinkle 1 heaping cup shelled whole pecans over all. Bake in preheated 350F oven for approximately 45 minutes.
