Thai Noodles (Albitz)

Recipe Ingredients

3 cups 438g / 15ozChopped cabbage
1 cup 62g / 2.2ozOnion - chopped (medium)
1 1/2 teaspoons 7.5mlOil
9 oz 255gPasta shapes - - (shells, bow-ties,
1/4 cup 49g / 1.7ozCrunchy peanut butter
1 tablespoon 15mlFresh lime juice
1 1/2 teaspoons 7.5mlBrown sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons 7.5mlSoy sauce
1 1/2 teaspoons 7.5mlWorcestershire sauce *
1/4 teaspoon 1.3mlCrushed red pepper
1/2 teaspoon 2.5mlCurry powder
1/8 teaspoon 0.6mlGround cloves
1   Garlic clove - - minced or mashed
7 oz 198gCoconut "milk"
1 tablespoon 15mlChopped fresh cilantro
1 teaspoon 5mlChopped fresh basil

Recipe Instructions

* (Vegetarian or regular worcestershire sauce, as you prefer.) Saute cabbage and onion in oil til just softened. Set aside in large bowl. Cook pasta till al dente. While pasta cooks, mix next 9 ingredients in a sauce pan. Heat gently, adding coconut milk gradually. Do not boil. Mix cooked pasta with sauce and veggies. Mix in cilantro and basil. Serve immediately.

4-6 main dish servings. This is a heavy dish; serve with a steamed veggie, and/or a light green salad.
