Shells With Creamy Wine Sauce

Recipe Ingredients

1 1/4 cups 296mlMedium seashell macaroni - uncooked
1/4 cup 15g / 0.5ozMinced onion
1/4 cup 59mlWater
1/4 cup 59mlChablis or other dry white wine
1/4 cup 36g / 1.3ozNeufchatel cheese with herbs and spices
  Ground pepper
  Vegetable cooking spray

Recipe Instructions

Cook pasta according to package directions, omitting the salt and fat. Drain cooked pasta, and set aside.

Coat a saucepan with cooking spray, and place over medium heat until hot. Add onion; saute 2 minutes or until tender. Add water and wine, and cook 1 minute. Add cheese, and cook 1 minute or until well blended, stirring with a wire whisk. Add pasta, tossing gently to coat. Cook 1 minute or until thoroughly heated, stirring constantly. Sprinkle with pepper. Yield: 2 servings (serving size: 1 cup).
