Noodles And Cabbage Recipe - Cooking Index
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Salt |
4 cups | 948ml | Finely shredded cabbage |
1/2 cup | 99g / 3.5oz | Butter or fat |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Sugar |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Pepper |
3 cups | 711ml | Cooked broad noodles - drained |
Mix the salt and cabbage together and let stand 30 minutes. Squeeze out all the liquid.
Heat the butter or fat in a deep skillet. Add the cabbage, sugar and pepper. Cook over low heat 45 minutes or until cabbage is browned. Stir very frequently. Add the noodles and toss to blend thoroughly. Serves 6 to 8.
