Recipe Ingredients

  Olive oil
1/2 lb 227g / 8ozItalian sausage
1 lb 454g / 16ozOnion - chopped (medium)
4   
2   Stewed tomatoes
1/2   Spaghetti sauce --
  Prego
3 cups 711mlWater
1   Chicken-flavored bullion
  Cube
1   Bay leaf
1   Great northern beans --
  Undrained
2   Celery - sliced
6   Baby carrots - cut into
  Matchsticks
1 teaspoon 5mlDried parsley
  Salt and freshly ground
  Pepper - (lots of pepper!)

Recipe Instructions

Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and cover and simmer for an hour or so.

Then add: 2 cups of "salad macaroni" and more water, if necessary, and simmer until the pasta is done (about 15 minutes).

Serve with crusty french bread and the wine of your choice.
