Kasha Varnitchkes Recipe - Cooking Index
1 cup | 62g / 2.2oz | Minced onions |
1/3 cup | 20g / 0.7oz | Chicken fat |
2 cups | 474ml | Cooked kasha - see * Note |
3 cups | 711ml | Cooked broad noodles - drained |
1 1/2 teaspoons | 7.5ml | Salt |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Pepper |

Brown the onions in the fat. Combine with the kasha, noodles, salt and pepper. If you have any 'grebenes' (the recipe for "Rendered Fat And Grebenes" is included in this database), add some. Toss until well mixed. Serve hot. Serves 6.
