Crockpot Grains

Recipe Ingredients

1/4 cup 59mlMillet - uncooked
1/4 cup 59mlBarley - uncooked
1/3 cup 53g / 1.9ozBrown rice - uncooked
1   Onion - chopped
1 cup 146g / 5.1ozGreen pepper - chopped
1/2 cup 55g / 1.9ozCarrot - chopped
16 oz 454gKidney beans - cooked, drained
8 oz 227gTomato sauce
16 oz 454gTomatoes - canned
16 oz 454gCanned corn - drained
1 teaspoon 5mlDried oregano
1 teaspoon 5mlDried basil
1/2 teaspoon 2.5mlGarlic powder
  Salt and pepper - to taste

Recipe Instructions

Combine all ingredients in a crockpot, putting grains in last. Add water to reserved tomato liquid to equal 2 1/2 cups. Stir into crockpot.

Cover and cook on LOW for 8 hours.

Stir well before serving.

Add 4 ounce can of diced green chili to add more zip.
