3 cups | 480g / 16oz | Beans - dried; soaked, cooked |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Chili powder |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Onions - chopped (large) |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Cumin |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Carrots - grated or finely (large) |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Cayenne |
1 | Bell pepper - chopped | |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Basil |
6 | Garlic cloves - chopped | |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Thyme |
1 | Serrano pepper - seeded and | |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Tamari |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Olive oil |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Salt or to taste |
26 oz | 738g | Spaghetti sauce - commercial |
On medium-high, stir fry vegies, garlic and serrano in olive oil for 5 minutes. Add spices; stir fry 5 minutes more. Add drained beans; stir into spices for a few minutes. Add spaghetti sauce, stir, lower heat to simmer, and cook 30 minutes.
