2 cups | 125g / 4.4oz | Flour |
1 1/2 cups | 297g / 10oz | Sugar |
1/4 cup | 49g / 1.7oz | Shortening |
1/4 cup | 49g / 1.7oz | Butter, softened |
1 cup | 237ml | Milk |
3 1/2 teaspoons | 17ml | Baking powder |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Salt |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Vanilla |
3 | Eggs |
Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour 13x9x2-inch pan or two 8- to 9-inch pans. Beat all ingredients on low speed, scraping sides, 30 seconds. Beat on high 3 minutes. Pour into pans. Bake the 13x9-inch pan 40-45 minutes, 8 or 9-inch pans 30-35 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes, remove from pans if desired; cool completely.
