2 | Hunt's tomato sauce | |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Hunt's tomato paste |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Sugar |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Garlic - minced |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Onion flakes - dehydrated |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Greek oregano |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Rosemary - crushed |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Thyme |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Summer svory |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Cayenne powder |
2 | Chicken breasts - boneless, skinless |
Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces and saute in a hot skillet that was aprayed with some Pam until chicken is browned.
Add garlic and saute for 30 seconds more. Add onion flakes and 1/4 cup water and saute for 30 seconds.
Add the tomato sauce and paste and the herbs and stir well.
Cover pan and simmer for two hours.
Remove cover and let the sauce thicken to desired thickness.
Note: meat can be steak, ground beef or Italian sausage in place of or in addition to chicken.
