Basic Beef Marinade Recipe - Cooking Index
1/4 cup | 59ml | Sherry vinegar or red wine vinegar |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Dry red wine |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Soy sauce |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Worcestershire sauce |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Sugar |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Olive oil |
2 | Garlic - sliced | |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Parsley - fresh, chopped |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Fresh herb combo: rosemary - tarragon, thyme |
1/8 teaspoon | 0.6ml | Black pepper to taste |
Combine the vinegar, wine, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and sugar in a non-reactive mixing bowl. Whisk in olive oil a little at a time. Add the pepper, parsley and herbs.
For beef steaks marinate for 6 to 8 hours. For roasts, 10 to 12 hours.
