Urad Dosa Recipe - Cooking Index
1 cup | 237ml | Urad dhal |
3 cups | 480g / 16oz | Rice |
Salt - to taste | ||
Oil - for frying |
Wash and soak urad dhal and rice separately for 4 to 5 hours. Grind urad dhal and rice together to a fine paste. The batter should be of dropping consistency. mix it well with a little salt, cover and keep aside for 8 hours.
Heat dosa tava. Apply a little oil. Pour a ladle full of batter and spread it in a circle of 1/4 inch thickness. Cover the tava and cook for 1 minute. Remove the cover and take out the dosa. Repeat for remaining batter.
