Sheera (Sooji Ka Halwa) Recipe - Cooking Index
1 cup | 237ml | Cow's milk - (240 ml) |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Condensed milk - (120 ml) |
4 teaspoons | 20ml | Ghee - (60 g) |
4 tablespoons | 60ml | Sooji - (rawa) - (60 g) |
Cardamom powder - to taste | ||
1/4 cup | 40g / 1.4oz | Raisins - (40 g) |
1/2 cup | 46g / 1.6oz | Almonds - (80 g), sliced fine |
Mix the milk and the condensed milk in a pan and set aside. Melt the ghee in a non stick pan. Add the rawa and fry until the rawa turns golden brown. Add the milk mixture and cardmom powder. Stir well. Cook until dry and the ghee separates from the rawa. Add the raisins and stir well. Remove from heat. Garnish with almonds.
