Sev Ganthia Saag Recipe - Cooking Index
1 cup | 237ml | Sev or ganthia |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Cumin seeds |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Red chile powder |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Garam masala |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Sugar |
3 | Asafetida | |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Amchoor - (dried mango powder) |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Dhania - (coriander seed) |
1/2 tablespoon | 7.5ml | Coriander leaves finely chopped |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Oil |
Salt to taste |
Mix all dry masala in 1 cup water. Heat oil in a pan, add seeds and asafetida, allow to splutter. Add masala solution, allow to simmer for 3-4 minutes. Add sugar and stir to dissolve. Add ganthia or sev, stir, garnish with chopped coriander.
Serve hot with phulka or thepla, or roti.
