Recipe Ingredients

1 cup 237mlSev or ganthia
1/2 teaspoon 2.5mlCumin seeds
1/2 teaspoon 2.5mlRed chile powder
1/4 teaspoon 1.3mlGaram masala
1/2 teaspoon 2.5mlSugar
3   Asafetida
1/4 teaspoon 1.3mlAmchoor - (dried mango powder)
1/4 teaspoon 1.3mlDhania - (coriander seed)
1/2 tablespoon 7.5mlCoriander leaves finely chopped
1 tablespoon 15mlOil
  Salt to taste

Recipe Instructions

Mix all dry masala in 1 cup water. Heat oil in a pan, add seeds and asafetida, allow to splutter. Add masala solution, allow to simmer for 3-4 minutes. Add sugar and stir to dissolve. Add ganthia or sev, stir, garnish with chopped coriander.

Serve hot with phulka or thepla, or roti.
