4 cups | 640g / 22oz | Rice |
1 cup | 160g / 5.6oz | Poha - (pressed rice)) |
1 cup | 237ml | Urad dal |
3/4 teaspoon | 3.8ml | Salt |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Baking soda |
SOAK the rice and urad dal together for at least an hour. Wash well. Wash the poha. Grind the rice, urad dal and poha to a smooth paste. Add enough water to obtain a smooth and thin batter. Add baking soda and salt to taste. Stir well.
