Baked Limas In Chili Sauce Recipe - Cooking Index
1 1/2 cups | 240g / 8.5oz | Dried lima beans |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Salt |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Sugar |
1 cup | 237ml | Chili sauce |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Melted butter or fat |
1 | Bay leaf |
Soak the beans overnight in water to cover. Drain. Add fresh water to cover, and bring to a boil. Add the salt and sugar. Cook over low heat 1 1/2 hours. Drain.
Combine the beans, chili sauce, butter or fat and bay leaf in a baking dish. Bake in a 350 degree oven 1 hour. Remove bay leaf.
