Quick Mango Pickle (Avakkai) Recipe - Cooking Index
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Raw - hard, fleshy and (medium) sour mango |
12 tablespoons | 180ml | Oil |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Mustard powder |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Chile powder |
1/2 | Garlic - peeled | |
1 | Turmeric |
1. Clean the mango. Dry well. Chop into small pieces.
2. Heat the oil slightly and cool.
3. Take a dry vessel. Mix the mustard powder, chile powder, salt and turmeric. Add oil and mix well.
4. Add mango and garlic. Mix again.
5. Bottle for 6 days.
