Recipe Ingredients

8 oz 227gPotatoes - boiled and cooled, peeled and diced
1   Cauliflower - cut into florets
5 tablespoons 75mlVegetable oil
1 teaspoon 5mlCumin seeds
1 teaspoon 5mlGround cumin
1/2 teaspoon 2.5mlGround coriander
1/4 teaspoon 1.3mlGround turmeric
1/4 teaspoon 1.3mlCayenne pepper
1   Fresh hot green chili pepper - finely chopped
1 teaspoon 5mlGround roasted cumin seeds
1 teaspoon 5mlSalt
  Freshly ground black pepper

Recipe Instructions

Prepare the potatoes and cauliflower. Put oil in large frying pan and set over medium heat. Put in the cumin seeds and let sizzle for 3-4 seconds. Add cauliflower and stir for 2 minutes. Cover and let simmer 4-6 minutes. Add potatoes, cumin, coriander, turmeric, cayenne, green chili, ground roasted cumin seeds, salt and black pepper; stir. Cook for 3 more minutes and serve.
