Papita Lassi (Papaya Lassi) Recipe - Cooking Index
1 cup | 146g / 5.1oz | Ripe papaya - diced & mashed well |
1 cup | 237ml | Plain yogurt |
2 cups | 474ml | Chilled water |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Lime juice |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Salt |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Pepper |
Few sprigs mint | ||
Ice cubes |
Beat or blend yogurt, then add water and beat or blend again. Add mashed papaya with all the seasonings. Beat or blend again. Pour in individual glasses. Garnish with mint and serve cold.
If you want to make sweet papaya lassi, then omit salt, lime juice and pepper. Add 2 tbsp. sugar instead and flavor with rose water.
