Paita Na Bhajia (Vegetable Fried Fritters)

Recipe Ingredients

1 cup 237mlThinly sliced potatoes
1 cup 62g / 2.2ozChickpea flour
  Water - as required
  Salt - to taste
1 teaspoon 5mlTurmeric powder
1/4 teaspoon 1.3mlCitric acid or vinegar
1/4 cup 59mlPlain yogurt
1 teaspoon 5mlRed chilli powder
1 teaspoon 5mlFenugreek seeds - (ajma), optional
  Oil - to deep fry

Recipe Instructions

Make a smooth batter by putting chickpea flour and the rest of the ingredients except the potatoes. Once made, dip the potatoes in the batter and deep fry until golden. You don't have to use potatoes, you can use any vegetable you like from chillies to cauliflower they all taste really great with hot west Indian sauce or just ketchup.
