Recipe Ingredients

1 teaspoon 5mlTamcon
2 teaspoons 10mlSalt
1 teaspoon 5mlMustard seeds
1   Turmeric
1/2   Tomatoes
1 teaspoon 5mlRice powder
1/4 teaspoon 1.3mlHeeng
  Masala
1 teaspoon 5mlBlack pepper
6   Red chiles
1 tablespoon 15mlChana dal
1 tablespoon 15mlToor dal
1 tablespoon 15mlCoriander seeds
1 tablespoon 15mlCoconut - grated

Recipe Instructions

Heat oil, mustard seeds. Add 4 cups water, tamcon, masala, turmeric, tomatoes, and salt to the pan. Boil for about 10 minutes. Add hing, rice powder and stir to thicken. Boil for another minute or so.

Masala: Fry all ingredients (except coconut) in as little oil as possible. Add coconut, grind (very fine) in blender.
