Mint And White Radish Chutney (India) Recipe - Cooking Index
10 cups | 400g / 14oz | Fresh mint leaves - coarsely chopped |
4 oz | 113g | Peeled white radish or red radishes |
10 | Fresh hot green chiles - (to 12) coarsely chopped | |
1 | Onion - chopped (small) | |
2 1/2 teaspoons | 12ml | Salt - , or to taste |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Fresh lime or lemon juice - (to 3 tbsp) |
PREPARATION: Combine all the ingredients in the container of an electric blender and blend, adding 2 or more tablespoons of water as needed. NOTE: This chutney is served in the Punjab with fried fish and all manner of kebabs. You may serve it with any Indian meal. The radish flavor makes it very unusual and appealing.
