Lasoon Chutney - Garlic Chutney Recipe - Cooking Index
| 5 | Garlic - 5-6, sliced | |
| 1 cup | 93g / 3.3oz | Coconut shreds - unsweetened |
| 1 tablespoon | 15ml | Cumin seed - whole |
| 3 | Red chiles - 3-4, dried | |
| 2 tablespoons | 30ml | Sesame seeds |
| 2 tablespoons | 30ml | Tamarind pulp - seedless |
| 1/4 cup | 59ml | Peanuts - unsalted |
| 1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Salt - or to taste |
Roast all of the above ingredients independently with the exception of the salt in a dry skillet until they turn reddish brown in color. Grind them in a coffee mill and serve either dry as a condiment or serve with ghee.
