Lasoon Chutney - Garlic Chutney

Recipe Ingredients

5   Garlic - 5-6, sliced
1 cup 93g / 3.3ozCoconut shreds - unsweetened
1 tablespoon 15mlCumin seed - whole
3   Red chiles - 3-4, dried
2 tablespoons 30mlSesame seeds
2 tablespoons 30mlTamarind pulp - seedless
1/4 cup 59mlPeanuts - unsalted
1/2 teaspoon 2.5mlSalt - or to taste

Recipe Instructions

Roast all of the above ingredients independently with the exception of the salt in a dry skillet until they turn reddish brown in color. Grind them in a coffee mill and serve either dry as a condiment or serve with ghee.
