Ester's Swedish Baked Beans Recipe - Cooking Index
| 3/4 cup | 46g / 1.6oz | Thinly-sliced onions |
| 1/2 cup | 55g / 1.9oz | Diced carrots |
| 1 tablespoon | 15ml | Chopped garlic |
| 1 tablespoon | 15ml | Olive oil |
| 1/3 cup | 78ml | White wine |
| 3 cups | 480g / 16oz | Cooked Esther's Swedish beans |
| 1/3 cup | 78ml | Dark molasses |
| 2 tablespoons | 30ml | Soy sauce |
| 1 tablespoon | 15ml | Dijon mustard |
| Salt - to taste | ||
| Freshly-ground black pepper - to taste |
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a saute pan saute the onions, carrots and garlic in olive oil over moderate heat until lightly browned. Combine with remaining ingredients and place in a lightly-buttered or oiled casserole. Bake uncovered for 35 to 40 minutes.
This recipe yields 6 to 8 servings.
