Ester's Swedish Baked Beans

Recipe Ingredients

3/4 cup 46g / 1.6ozThinly-sliced onions
1/2 cup 55g / 1.9ozDiced carrots
1 tablespoon 15mlChopped garlic
1 tablespoon 15mlOlive oil
1/3 cup 78mlWhite wine
3 cups 480g / 16ozCooked Esther's Swedish beans
1/3 cup 78mlDark molasses
2 tablespoons 30mlSoy sauce
1 tablespoon 15mlDijon mustard
  Salt - to taste
  Freshly-ground black pepper - to taste

Recipe Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

In a saute pan saute the onions, carrots and garlic in olive oil over moderate heat until lightly browned. Combine with remaining ingredients and place in a lightly-buttered or oiled casserole. Bake uncovered for 35 to 40 minutes.

This recipe yields 6 to 8 servings.
