Indian Rice Recipe - Cooking Index
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Butter |
1/4 cup | 15g / 0.5oz | Thinly sliced onion |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Slivered almonds |
1 | Curry powder - optional | |
1/4 cup | 40g / 1.4oz | Golden raisins |
2 cups | 320g / 11oz | Hot cooked long grain rice |
In a saucepan, melt butter; add onion, almonds and curry powder. Cook until golden brown. Stir in raisins; heat until the raisins plump, about 5 minutes. Remove from the heat; stir in rice. Serve immediately.
