Herby Sticks

Recipe Ingredients

10   Plain soup sticks
5   Soft white bread
1/2 teaspoon 2.5mlGarlic paste
1 teaspoon 5mlMint leaves finely chopped
1 teaspoon 5mlCoriander leaves finely chopped
1/2 teaspoon 2.5mlPoppy seeds
1 tablespoon 15mlGrated cheese
1/2 teaspoon 2.5mlPaprika or 1/4 teaspoon red chilli crushed coarsely
  Salt to taste
1 tablespoon 15mlDry bread crumbs
2 tablespoons 30mlMilk

Recipe Instructions

Remove stiff crusts of bread slices if any.

Mix all ingredients except sticks, slices, milk.

Cut each slice into 2 rectangular halves.

Sprinkle some milk on a slice, allow to moisten.

Press gently with a rolling pin to thin down.

Place one stick at one long end of rectangle.

Roll carefully, to cover stick with slice.

Roll this in the mixture, careful not to open it.

Arrange on a greased baking sheet.

Bake in a hot oven, at 180oC till slices are crisp and golden.

Serve hot with soups.
