Hari Peleey Moti (Green Chile Dal) Recipe - Cooking Index
1 cup | 237ml | Chana dal * |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Grated coconut |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Chopped coriander leaves |
3 | Green chiles - slit | |
1 | Hing (asafetida) | |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Rai (mustard seed) |
3/4 teaspoon | 3.8ml | Jeera (cumin) |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Oil |
Salt - to taste |
* boiled so that the dal is separate
Heat oil, add rai and when it splutters add hing, jeera and slit green chiles. Fry for 2 minutes, then add chana dal, salt and peas. Stir. Cook for 5 minutes.
While serving, garnish with grated coconut and chopped coriander leaves.
