Ghaat (Maize Porridge) Recipe - Cooking Index
1/2 cup | 118ml | Maize germ |
2 cups | 474ml | Water |
Salt to taste | ||
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Ghee |
Wash maize germ well.
Add water and salt.
Bring to a boil, stirring continuously, to avoid forming lumps. Cover
loosely and cook on very low flame.
Stir frequently and add more water if required.
Takes about 25-30 minutes to cook well.
Take off fire, add ghee, stir well well and serve with curds or hot milk
and sugar.
